Over the past 20+ years in real estate, I’ve seen plenty of changes, but the recent $418M NAR settlement is a significant one for both buyers and sellers in our market. With the new rules in place, buyer’s agent commissions can no longer be listed on the MLS, and written fee agreements are now required. What does this mean for you? Sellers now have more say in how commissions are paid, which brings greater transparency for buyers—but it can also make the process a bit more complex.
